How to Use a Mechanical Drafting Machine

The mechanical drafting machine has been used for years. It is a method in which a drafting machine is used on a table to produce an engineering drawing. The drafting machine is installed on the angular arm or beam, that can be secured on a table with a clamp permanently. The protractor is a part of the assembly process, positioned in the middle of the drafting machine to allow the drafter to change the angles of the scales and to make sure that the knob is locked in place. The protractor has scales attached to it, typically made from aluminum or plastic. Other tools like the drafting compass, T square, combination sets, scales and pencils, are used to achieve this drafting process. Types of drafting machines are universal and track type.
