What is Hydraulics? Learn About the Study of Fluids in Civil Engineering

Hydraulics deals with the study of fluids, their behavior, motion of fluids and the interaction of fluids with other bodies. In hydraulics we study dynamics and statics of fluids in different civil engineering applications, such as fluid mechanics, fluid machinery, irrigation, dams. Technically fluids include liquids and gases but from the perspective of Hydraulics in Civil Engineering, the term fluid generally means a liquid and that too water in particular.
