Shotcrete Reinforcement of Masonry Walls - Feasible but is it Practical?

Shotcrete is concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface. Shotcrete undergoes placement and compaction at the same time due to the force with which it is projected from the nozzle. It can be impacted onto any type or shape of surface, including vertical or overhead areas. Shotcrete velocity and shotcrete rebound has to be considered while using shotcrete. Applying this technique on masonry walls with some layer of reinforcing fabric can strengthen masonry walls. Shotcrete can renovate structures and there are advantages of shotcrete which makes application of shotcrete to old brick walls a means to increase its life.
