Decarbonization of Engines

Decarbonization of engines is essential to prolong the life of the engine as well as maintaining the optimum working efficiency. The main components that require decarbonisation are the cylinder head, the exhaust valves and manifolds, the piston and rings and the cylinder. Care must be exercised when removing the build-up of carbon from these components, especially the machined surfaces of the liners, valve spindles and piston rings and grooves.
