Precast Concrete Beam to Beam, Beam to Column Failures

In a precast concrete construction of structures, precast concrete beam to beam and beam to column connections are vulnerable points that fail when faced by the cyclic loading of earthquakes. During an earthquake, precast concrete beam and columns fail because of plastic hinge formation and non-ductility of the structure. This article addresses the problems and solutions related to seismic failure of precast concrete beams and columns.
