What is Electrical Technology?

Electrical Technology involves the design and development of high-voltage systems, components or machines, in which a current or a flow of electrons takes place through conductors and metals. Electrical technology also involves the installation, testing and maintenance of all electrical systems such as motors, generators, control systems for machinery etc. People often find it hard to define the difference between electrical and electronic technology. Electronic technology is mostly involved in low-voltage applications in which the flow of electrons takes place through semiconductors (e.g. integrated circuits). Electric engineers, technologists, and technicians are among the professionals dealing with electrical technology.
