What Is Self Compacting Concrete? (SCC)

Self-compacting concrete is a modern concrete with similar characteristics as the conventional concrete. It is also known as flowable, self consolidating, and non-vibration concrete. It is produced by simply adding a water reducing agent such as fly ash, to the traditional mix and it is best used in occasions where the characteristics of colors and texture are of prime importance. Certain advantages are described in the article, however the main advantage is that self-consolidating concrete does not require any vibration.
